Thirtieth Anniversary Celebrations At the Committee Meeting on 10th December 2009, the Champagne came out to celebrate 30 years of the Southport & Merseyside Aero Club's existence. Prior to that of course, the Club was called the Southport Aero Club, which was originally founded in 1951. This gallery features a new way of presenting club photographs, using Google Picasa. In time some of the older galleries will be converted to this format.

50th Anniversary On 18th May, 2001, the Club held its 50th Anniversary Dinner in the newly opened Marriott Hotel - the original 1930's Liverpool Airport Passenger Terminal building.
